Contractor Bid Services

Organizational Review

  • Is your company prepared to compete at the highest level? It is very important to make sure your company is structurally and financially sound when it comes to responding to solicitations. Whether your company is 1 year old or 10 years old, Tyco Solutions will review your company’s profile for optimal engagement and preparedness for the most rigorous bid/proposal/quote evaluation.

  • From a review of your Dun & Bradstreet Report to Analyzing your company's financial strength, we will provide you with targeted recommendations to build a solid foundation.

  • Bid Strength Rating©: Your bid price is only as strong as the organization behind the bid numbers. Tyco Solutions will provide you a proprietary Bid Strength Rating©. This rating lets you know where your company is positioned when compared to highly rated companies. In addition, we will identify any deficiencies to enable you to achieve a top Bid Strength Rating©.

Solicitation Review

  •  Government officials will often tell you, “The lowest bidder will receive the award.”  This is both a cliché and a fallacy. In today’s environment, the review, evaluation, and award of government contracts is very complicated. Submitting the best Bid, Request for Proposal, or Quote requires extensive knowledge of the government procurement process. The vast knowledge and expertise of Tyco Solutions will put your firm on equal footing when responding to a Bid, Request for Proposal, or Quote.

  • All solicitations are not created and submitted as equals. That is why Tyco Solutions will perform a comprehensive review of your documents. Your solicitation will be analyzed for errors, miscalculations, and a host of other requirements that can get your bid tossed out. Simply put, government agencies are hesitant to do business with a contractor whose solicitation is filled with errors.

  • Meeting the minimum requirements of the solicitation is crucial to submitting a successful Bid, Request for Proposal, or Quote. Our team will 1) Identify all submittal documents and Forms 2) Review your submittal to ensure all requirements are met 3) Identify any deficiencies in the submittal requirements and 4) Review the overall submittal for errors and omissions. If one minimum requirement is omitted or not met, your entire bid submittal could be deemed non-responsive and thus eliminated.

  •  Our experience in reviewing and analyzing Bids, RFP's, and Quotes have resulted in hundreds of awards, cancellations, and rejections. Tyco Solutions will provide guidance to prevent your Bid, RFQ, or Quote from being tossed out or rejected. More than half of all solicitation cancellations and rejections could have been avoided if the Contractor understood the assignment.

Pre Solicitation/Pre-Quote/Bid/Proposal Meetings & Site Visit Preparation/Attendance

  • Questions and more Questions! At this point, you are committed or nearly committed to submitting a response to the solicitation. However, there may be a very important event that will allow you to gain important knowledge about the procurement. The pre-Bid/Proposal/Quote meeting provides direct access to stakeholders for the project. This may be the only time you will have direct contact with them.  So, ask as many questions as your heart desire so that you may gain a deeper understanding of what is required as a vendor. It is highly encouraged that you attend all site visits which will provide visual representation of the procurement as well as any physical characteristics.

  • Tyco Solutions will guide you through the pre-solicitation meeting and site visit. We will tailor questions to ensure your company has all the information necessary to submit a competitive Bid, Request for Proposal, or Quote.

Prime and Sub-Contracting Guidance

  • Will your company bid as a Prime Contract or Subcontractor?  Well, that depends on your Bid Strength Rating©. Seasoned and strong companies tend to bid as Prime Contractor. While new businesses generally submit bids as subcontractors. Regardless of the bidding position, Tyco Solutions will provide guidance and advice on how to best submit for a project.

  1. Prime Contractors - Prime contractors are either single or multiple companies (for multi-award contracts) selected by the government to accomplish the tasks demanded. Prime contractors work directly for the client, which is usually either a corporation or an extension of government service.
  2. Subcontractors - Government subcontractors are business owners that work for prime contractors. Government subcontractors work under prime contractors to complete a task for a government contract.

  • Utilizing our Bid Strength Rating©, Tyco Solutions will provide guidance on which direction is best for you Company. Government entities have varying rules on prime and subcontract bidding. We will ensure that your Bid, Request for Proposal, or Quote is submitted for optimal award.
